This new set of wooden building blocks consists of four blocks that depict buildings exhibited in our museum's village here at the Railway Village Museum in Boothbay, Maine. The four blocks are: Harrington Homestead - This turn of the century home was moved from its original Boothbay location when slated for demolition in 1998. Today, it recreates a typical home from around 1920 highlighted by an outstanding collection of vintage kitchen appliances, The livery stable houses a 19th century barn frame loom, as well as antique spinning wheels and farming equipment. Fire Department - Hand tubs, steam pumpers, hose reels, ladder trucks and more make up the collection in the Boothbay Volunteer Fire Department exhibit at the museum. Thompkins' Filling Station, an original service station in East Boothbay, Maine, now located at Boothbay Railway Village. Boothbay Town Hall - built in 1847 for $700 by Ephram Pinkham, this Greek Revival style hall was moved to the Museum grounds in 1990 and continues to serve as a municipal building for the Town of Boothbay.
